The Specialization Course in Occupational Safety Engineering offered by Universidade Federal Fluminense offers this course only to professionals with a degree in Full Engineering and Architecture (according to Law No. 7,410 / 85). This is the case of the specialization in Quality and Productivity Engineering, which trains professionals in order to carry out the management of the production line by applying and monitoring the quality indexes and also acting in the selection, training, and development of the team of professionals in charge of production.

Applicants must have an undergraduate or bachelor's degree in the areas of technological, exact, natural, and agrarian sciences and other courses in related fields. Graduates of courses in related areas are subject to the evaluation of the collegiate of the Program. Candidates with degrees obtained in higher technology courses are not accepted, with a workload of less than or equal to 2,000 hours. The selection process is annual and takes place in the second semester of each year for admission to the following year.
