The International Master of Science in Textile Engineering is a 2-year master programme educating the next generation of textile engineers. The first semester you will study at Ghent University in Belgium, the second semester at the Polytechnical University of Valencia in Spain (for the academic year 2022-2023), the third semester you can choose between the University of Borås in Sweden or the Kyoto Institute of Technology in Japan. During the fourth semester, you do a thesis at one of the partner universities. So you will study in Europe (and Japan). The professors teaching you come from all over the world.

The department offers these programs: Robotics Engineering Course, Aerospace Engineering Course, Automotive Engineering Course. In these three streams, students are given the knowledge and technical skills necessary to become mechanical engineers.

This department offers four Doctor's programs. Solid-State Electronics gives special courses on the fundamentals of electronic devices/materials and optical devices/materials. Applied Advanced Materials Engineering gives special courses on applications of magnetic materials and bio-materials to electrical and chemical engineering. Energy System Engineering gives special courses on generation, conversion, storage, and transportation of electric and heat energy. System Design and Production Engineering gives special studies on the fundamentals and application of machine design and ultra-precise machining technology.

The Faculty of Science and Engineering has been focusing on the fusion of science and engineering since it was established. Knowledge and creative and flexible thinking, beyond the borders of science and engineering fields, are indispensable to coexistence with living things on earth, in the environment, and in the creation of a new era.

We will train researchers who have the ability to acquire knowledge in specialized fields related to engineering, propose new theories and technologies through research and experiments, and respond to international research presentation activities.

Students specialize in subjects from basic to advanced courses in each of the departments in addition to wide-ranged subjects of natural, cultural, and social sciences. The students acquire theoretical and technical competence as engineers and researchers in their specialized fields in the undergraduate programs. The Graduate School of Science and Engineering helps students to be advanced engineers and researchers that contribute to the development of a sustainable society.

We offer four programs that enable students to grasp the expansive discipline of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). ICT supports our daily lives and encompasses a wide range of areas from hardware to software. Information engineering is one of the fundamentals of ICT and our curriculum requires all students to complete at least one program that reflects their focus of study.

The technology in the industrial world has achieved remarkable progress recently, but in parallel, becoming multidisciplinary. Research and development companies have increased, which consequently leads to strong social demands for new technological developments as well as highly-specialized engineers who are capable of coping with those challenges. In response to this, we provide advanced education and research opportunities for trying to enrich the Masters's course of engineering research. In this major, by the spirit of our foundation, we promote personal research and development to training richly creative high-level engineers who can deal with fast-evolving technological renovation. We also re-educate society members who are engaged in research development.

Our primary educational focus is on drawing out the inherent talent of each student, and awakening their ability to independently pose questions and work to solve them. For this purpose, the program offers three schools: Fundamental Science and Technology, Integrated Design Engineering, and Science for Open and Environmental Systems. These schools provide a flexible structure so that students can freely cross the boundaries between different fields of research. Our aim is to foster the capacity not only to produce innovative world-class research, but to provide our society with leadership.

The topics of learning and research include the theories and analysis methods concerning the hydrodynamics and the conveyance system in bays, rivers, lakes and reservoirs. Using such theories and analysis methods, studies are conducted for the improvement of issues such as water quality and environmental problems, and the water hazard problems of storm surge, flood, inundation, etc.

Systematic studies of the basics of and applications in the respective fields of software, hardware, database and network, and human communications technologies provide an understanding of technology’s fundamental principles, fostering creativity and the ability to develop and find applications for those technologies.

A focused information science program that fosters students able to support today's dynamic advanced information society, implementing further achievements in information science in diverse fields & their wide-spread application. This program enriches students' broad interdisciplinary vision & cultivates cutting-edge specialized knowledge and skills covering computer hardware, software & information network technology; computer/human interaction & media technology; & various systems to fully utilize robotics & computer technology.

Faculty of Science and Technology now has two departments (eight divisions), and the Graduate School of Engineering has one master’s (six divisions) and two doctoral departments. The faculty staff endeavors to motivate the students to pursue the solutions even for the unseen problems, to acquire the internationally acknowledgeable intelligence, and to grow the respectable humanity of contributing the intelligence to their communities. The ultimate goal is to foster professionals who are full of originality and creativity.

The Psychology Division offers opportunities for conducting research together with leading faculty members having expertise in cognitive, developmental, social, educational, and clinical psychology. Our students are exposed to extensive knowledge and cutting-edge research techniques in psychology.
