The European Master on Control of Renewable Energy Systems objective of the two-year European Master on COntrol of Renewable Energy Systems programme is to train top-level engineers from across the world on the design of advanced control technologies for renewable energy systems and to contribute to the emergence of a new generation of graduates who are needed to achieve Europe's environmental and energy ambitions under the Green Deal.

The Nuclear Energy Master’s is a high-level international program built in partnership with the most elite engineering schools, whose objective is to provide top foreign and French students with the main knowledge necessary for the nuclear industry producing low‐carbon electricity. The program targets current and future needs of the nuclear industry: optimizing the performance of existing nuclear reactors, designing third-generation nuclear installations (reactors and factories for fuel cycle), develop new fourth-generation processes and systems, operate installations, manage waste and decommissioning.

The UPPA is opening a 5-year integrated Master’s/Ph.D. program of excellence linked to the research fields of energy and the environment with research-intensive training in multiple fields. The "Master of Applied Social Sciences in Energy and Environmental Transitions ( ASSET )" is a track of the Master's degree "Science of sustainability". It is an interdisciplinary graduate training of excellence in 2 years of training in sustainability sciences from the perspective of social sciences. It deals with the problems of energy and environmental transitions by crossing the knowledge, skills, and experiences of research professors from different disciplinary families and by operating as much as possible in a collaborative configuration (where the knowledge acquired is then shared), and from project-based and problem-oriented teaching.

The objective of the Master of Science is to form project leaders or supervisors capable of managing complex engineering projects in the domain of the environment and energy conversion systems within an international context. PM3E offers a balanced program of management skills and engineering techniques for environmental and energy projects.

The Master of Geosciences offers a classical two-year training in French. Additionally, we offer a one-year training in English for graduate students. This one-year course called ‘Geoengineering ’ (~270 h lecture and 5-6 month internship) will be particularly appreciated by foreign students who wish to reinforce their background in different fields of Petroleum Engineering. This year is also open for regular students who started French classes during their first year in the Master "Of Geosciences". This Master benefits from a particularly rich environment in geosciences and energy. The Master is part of the Faculty of Sciences and Technologies for Energy and Environment (STEE). The STEE Faculty has been founded within the framework of the prestigious label I-SITE which granted the project Energy Environment Solutions (E2S). It also benefits from the immediate surroundings of Carnot ISIFOR (Sustainable Engineering of Georesources) and a national pole for Geosciences and Innovation (Avenia). In addition, Pau hosts dozens of Petroleum companies, including Total, Terega, Modis, etc... Pau has therefore one of the highest concentrations of petroleum engineers and scientists in France.
