The mission of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Department is to educate students for the practice of their profession in drilling, production and reservoir engineering topics for underground fluid resources in oil and gas and, for the advancement of knowledge and technology that form the basis of petroleum engineering as well as for finding solutions to the national, international, societal and environmental issues related to petroleum industry.

The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree offered by BUE is a five-year full-time programme of study as well as summer modules, and clinical summer training modules aimed primarily at educating and training graduates for an efficient dental practice in the new century.

The 5-year programme is offered in 10 consecutive semesters for 5 years. Module provision involves lectures, tutorials, workshops and practical periods as well as field training.

BAS Institute offers the M.Sc. degree with the curriculum in Nanoscience that provides theoretical and experimental skills. Our graduate degrees are uniquely designed to provide students with interdisciplinary curricula that extend beyond the traditional disciplines.

The Sculpture Department aims to develop distinct and creative graduates who enjoy certain features such as thinking, creativity and the acquisition of knowledge and the value of scientific research in art and creativity in the art of sculpture and the development of critic thinking skills and enhancing the sense of the society in which the graduate lives through the provision of sculptural works of art to the national, cultural, social, investment and tourism institutions and also to take part in the local and international art exhibitions and the acquisition of the culture of communication between the creator and the receiver, and to interact with modern techniques.

The Computer Science and Engineering department tackles interesting problems with direct relation to society. Corresponding research themes includes AI, high-performance computing, and performance modeling. The department has attracted various research grants (totaling 10 million EGP) and has a strong collaboration with other universities in various countries including Japan, France, Italy, and the USA.

Through this M.Sc. program, students will be acquainted with environmental surveying, recognizing sources of pollution, identifying low-cost technologies and principles of sustainable developments both on national and international levels.

Department of Biotechnology covers research areas that range from understanding the nature and/or the molecular basis of biological processes that involve biological systems, living organisms or derivatives to making or modifying products that will be used in biological applications. The department offers M.Sc. program in Biotechnology.

BAS Institute, E-JUST, offers for the time being Energy Materials program in Physics. This program is designed to prepare M.Sc. students for their future career by equipping them with the main educational requirements of professional skills to the practice of Materials and Energy Resources field. This is to provide awareness of research in materials science and to encourage the development of inventiveness while searching for scientific solutions to technical problems.

AUC’s Arabic Language Intensive Program (ALIN) offers intensive Arabic-language courses that meet for 20 to 25 contact hours per week, offering 12 to 15 transferable credit hours for international students. ALIN offers courses at the elementary, intermediate, and advanced levels and infuses its curriculum with content-based courses in both Modern Standard Arabic and Egyptian Colloquial Arabic.

Computer engineering embodies the science and technology of the design, construction, implementation, and maintenance of the software and hardware components of modern computing systems and computer-controlled equipment. AUC's computer science program aims to provide students with a modern education that emphasizes creative applications of scientific knowledge in the analysis, design, and implementation of computer software and hardware systems relevant to society's needs.

Program Description: Learn all about ancient Egypt's history and culture, from the time of the Pharaohs to the Arab conquest — a time span of some 4,600 years. AUC’s Bachelor of Arts in Egyptology covers all aspects of ancient Egyptian civilization, from language and religion to art, architecture, social structure, and heritage management. The program also provides a first-hand experience of ancient monuments and sites.
