The Universities of Bern and Basel offer a challenging Master’s program in International and Monetary Economics with the possibility of additional specialization in financial markets-banking-prudential regulation and quantitative macroeconomics. The program is in English and is run jointly by the two Universities.

This program has been designed to provide students with a thorough understanding of health economics and policy development, and implementation. There is no requirement for any prior training or knowledge in economics. Students are expected to learn advanced skills in critical analyses, understanding of global health policies, and microeconomic and macroeconomic factors that influence health policies.

The course starts with a basic but rigorous introduction to economic concepts and tools of analysis. It then moves on to discuss introductory microeconomic supply and demand analysis and different market structures.
