1439 Economics Degree Programs

The Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Università della Svizzera italiana in Switzerland is offered by the Faculty of Economics and all classes are taught by professors and lecturers who all have a strong academic record and that have taught and done research in some of the world’s foremost universities.

The Economics Department offers three terminal master’s programs, MS in Quantitative Economics, MA in Global Development Economics, and MS in Economic Policy & Practice, that equip its graduates with the advanced knowledge and quantitative skills required for a successful career in consulting, politics, international relations, and governance.

Studying economics doesn’t teach you specific answers to a given question, but rather how to approach the question using reasonable and rational methods for obtaining the answer. UNC Charlotte’s economic programs will teach you to allocate scarce resources (like land, labor and capital) to the production of goods and services, and you’ll explore the growth of the world’s economies, tax policies, energy costs, inflation, unemployment, labor unions, tariffs and international trade.

The Finance and Economics majors at Webster Geneva Campus are designed for students who are looking for a personalized, rigorous education that leads to careers in the economics and finance, management in the private and public sectors and at international organizations. Students can also continue their studies at graduate and professional schools of economics, finance and social sciences.

The BS in Economics provides a stronger emphasis on quantitative analysis. You will be well prepared for a career as an analyst in government, consulting, trade associations, or other private sector positions, and for graduate school in economics or more quantitative business administration programs.

The Associate in Arts in Economics for Transfer will prepare students for transfer into bachelor's degree programs in economics and similar majors. Upon completion, students will have an understanding of the fundamental theories of microeconomics and macroeconomics, how to apply them to real-world scenarios, and evaluate diverse viewpoints.

The doctoral programme in PhD in Economics welcomes all qualified applicants with Master´s degrees who have a strong interest in economic theory, econometric modelling and applied economics. Graduates will be equipped with advanced knowledge of the history of economics, micro- and macroeconomics, international economics, and economic policy, and also important research skills for becoming a successful researcher.

This MSc in Economics aims to provide: (i) advanced knowledge in the field of economic theory; (ii) methodologies and techniques needed to the analysis and research in the fields of theoretical and applied economics; (iii) adequate instruments to pursuing the study of economics at the PhD level (this MSc gives direct access to the doctoral program in Economics at ISEG).

This degree program is not only to let students understand modern economics frameworks, but also to equip them with analytical tools in economics.

The Laurea Magistrale in Economics, held entirely in English, provides an advanced level of education in economics. The course structure and level of study of the LM correspond to what is offered in the international academic arena as part of an MSc in Economics course.

International Ph.D. in Economics. Université Côte d'Azur (UniCA) international Ph.D. in economics offers training in traditional economic disciplines - like microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, financial market analysis, industrial organization - and training in disciplines embedding a complexity-based perspective such as computational economics, experimental economics, the analysis of financial and economic networks.

Master’s Programme in Economics at the University of Helsinki provides demanding, high-quality education in the field of economics. Oriented towards social sciences, the two study tracks of the program prepare students for demanding expert occupations or equip them with the capability to pursue a Doctoral Degree in Economics.

The Master in Economics provides students with a working knowledge of the main tools of quantitative economics. It is directed to graduates in economics, mathematics, and engineering, as well as to graduates in social sciences with a taste for rigorous analysis. The program prepares students to pursue a professional specialization in one of the different fields of economics, leading to a career in government agencies, international organizations, or the private sector. It serves as well as a first step to students who plan to pursue a research career by enrolling into a Ph.D. program in economics. 

The Program offers research training equivalent to training in the first two years of PhD Programs at top US economics faculties. This implies a first year of rigorous and common training in core subjects of economics, econometrics, and finance at a high level that can only be managed by a selected group of students. In the second year, students specialise in their choice from among the institute’s many fields of research through field coursework and research master thesis research.

Our Bachelor program Economics and Business Administration, major in Economics was opened in the academic year 2012/2013. We already have our first Alumni, who continue their study at Universities in the Czech Republic and all around Europe.
