33 Economics Degree Programs in Romania

The programme is an online programme composed of 8 taught modules of 25 credits each, of which five are core modules and three are elective modules relating to a specialist stream, culminating in a research-based dissertation of 40 credits.

The main objective of the master's program in Health Economics is to provide the necessary economic principles and tools to decision-makers who will shape the future of the public and private organizations that operate in this sector.

The Faculty of Philosophy, in a partnership with the Faculty of Business and Administration, are pleased to announce the launch of their new jointly organized MA program in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, starting October 2017. It is the first PPE program in Romania, and one of the very few in Eastern Europe.

The main aim of the Master is to deliver theoretical and technical knowledge in economics and business research with analytical and quantitative tools, integrating theoretical knowledge with its application to real economic problems. Taught completely in English, it offers fields of specializations in areas of Entrepreneurship and Business (with emphasis of innovation) as well as Applied economics. The specialised and multi-disciplinary nature of innovation process within the area of finance and management demands skills that are essentially based on statistical, mathematical and financial knowledge, but that also require a good understanding of accountancy, economics and the law.

The program’s main mission is to stimulate students’ passion for research while offering intensive training meant to facilitate their pursuit of a career in academia or business. We aim to extend knowledge from the nation towards the regional and international perspective, considering the similitude with US study programs.

The main objectives of the program are to prepare specialists for the economy of the future, and to develop general and professional competencies needed for the international labor market, in both emerging and developed economies, for private and public sectors. Considering the specific competencies obtained within this program, supported by the best academic team in the region, the career opportunities of future graduates are various and attractive, both at the national and international level.

The French sector was created in accordance with the multicultural program of Babeş-Bolyai University and meets the expectations of the Romanian society, which is part of the European Union. This stream offers students the opportunity to specialize in an application area of economics, accounting (and computer) management so that at the end of three years of study, they will easily find a job in a business. French orientation, even more - they will be coveted by employers in the French-speaking world.

The general objective of the undergraduate program Finance and Banks it is represented by the training of specialists with expertise in the field of finance, oriented towards excellence, effectiveness and efficiency. As well as it aims to train graduates able to understand the fundamental elements and particularities of the financial field as well as of the multidisciplinary decision model and to offer relevant solutions to the business environment, the professional or public communities of which they are part.

The program aims to prepare specialists with higher education in accounting and management information systems, both the curriculum and the syllabus being designed to develop students' entrepreneurial spirit, and to ease their integration in the actual business environment after graduation.

Bachelor’s degree program Accounting Information Systems with a double degree is organized in partnership with the Hochschule Karlsruhe, Germany – Faculty of Computer Science and Information Systems.

The main objective of the program is to develop specific skills and competencies for financial professionals, being designed so as to combine theoretical knowledge with practical proficiency in finance, considering the current global development and the challenges to which economies are subjected. Graduates are prepared to activate in financial institutions and companies, being able to work at different levels in corporations, insurance companies, banks, fiscal administrations, brokerage companies.

Bachelor in Economics and Management

The Computer Science for Economics Bachelor program from the School of Computer Science for Business Management is a three-year program that prepares you for database administration, programming, software design, web design and network administration.

The mission of this program is to prepare specialists in the field, in conformity with the demands of Romania entering the EU, the changes that interfere in the real economy, on the domestic market and inside a globalized frame.

This master degree within the Faculty of Economical Science aims at achieving the following objectives: Forming qualified specialists in conformity with the present requirements of the job markets from Romania and the European Union countries, promoting a set of values based on solidarity, non-discrimination, ethics, scientific objectivity, creativity, and dynamism.
