The Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology program provides broad and general training in clinical psychology. It is based on the scholar-practitioner training model and prepares students for clinical research and practice. It also prepares students for registration as psychologists.

Specializing in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources (OBHR) will allow students to gain insight into the “human” side of work, such as individual-level topics (e.g., recruitment, selection, job analysis), relational topics (e.g., relationships between individuals at work, leaders-followers, conflict management, diversity, equity) and organizational-level topics (e.g., organizational learning, change management, compensation systems, industrial relations) as well as topics from complementary disciplines such as psychology and sociology.

Boucher’s full-time four-year program includes approximately 4,800 hours of class and preceptor time. It includes approximately 1,200 hours of clinical training, culminating in the professional Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine designation.

The goal of this program is to educate counselors who are also researchers capable of independent and collaborative research. As researchers, they will be able to contribute to the knowledge base that informs counseling and spirituality.

The M.Sc. in the Cognitive Science of Language or an equivalent Master’s degree is required for entrance into the Ph.D. program.
