The Doctoral School in Atomic and Molecular Photonics was born under the inspiration of the advanced multidisciplinary research carried on, since 1991, at the European Laboratory for Non Linear Spectroscopy (LENS) of the University of Florence.

The Ph.D. program in Sustainable Management of Agricultural Forestry and Food Resources builds upon the long term experience in research and teaching of the Department of Agriculture, Food, Environment and Forestry (DAGRI) of the University of Florence.

The International Doctorate in Structural Biology is an international doctorate in collaboration with the Universities of Frankfurt and Utrecht. It was established with an agreement signed by the three Rectors in 2001. On the basis of this agreement, the PhD title that students obtain at the end of the program is considered equivalent to that obtained at the Bijvoet Center for Biomolecular Research and to the PhD in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of Frankfurt.

The Cellular and Molecular Medicine Specialization offers unique opportunities for Biology, Chemistry and Applied Biomedical Engineering doctoral students who wish to pursue a specialization in the application of modern cellular and molecular approaches to understanding disease causes and disease mechanisms.

Within the IDP, students are exposed to a combination of required and elective didactic courses, laboratory rotations, and professional development/scientific writing and presentation activities which help students gain proficiency in several Core Competencies and Qualities.

The Biomedical Sciences Training Program is an umbrella program that offers a common entry point to most Case Western biomedical PhD programs. Several departments and training programs in the Medical School participate in this program including, Anatomy; Biochemistry; Biology; Cell Biology; Developmental Biology

The Regulatory Biology program is a collaborative with the Cleveland State University Department of Biological, Geological and Environmental Sciences. This program focuses on research into the molecular and cellular underpinnings of biological processes in order to identify therapeutic targets relevant to disease.

The Clinical/Bioanalytical Chemistry program applies the knowledge of chemistry and, in particular, chemical analysis to the study of the origins and diagnoses of diseases. Graduates of this PhD program are employed in many clinical- bioanalytical settings. They become directors of clinical laboratories and research scientists in biomedical and biotechnology fields, in invitro diagnostics, in reference and analytical laboratories, in academic institutions, and in many other settings

PsyD students are continuously monitored and evaluated on their successful achievement of program expectations which include academic performance, clinical skill development, dissertation progress, and professional/personal development.

The focus of this PhD program is to introduce medical knowledge into basic biological science PhD training to train the next generation of biomedical translational researchers. Graduates of our program will have the skills to enhance the movement of discoveries from bench to bedside.

The Bioinformatics Master of Science degree program prepares you for a multidisciplinary career in biomedical sciences by educating you on how to analyze data and problems associated with molecular, cellular, physiological and genetic systems. This programs is offered full- or part-time, with course offerings during the evening and weekends
