As a Management and Science University (MSU) candidate for a Doctor of Philosophy (Health Science) qualification, you will undertake supervised research with the aim to contribute new, significant knowledge to a health-related discipline or profession. You will be equipped with knowledge in research methodology as well as biostatistics, and a large part of your time will be spent doing research activities as well as writing your thesis.

Spalding University’s new School of Physical Therapy offers a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)* degree for aspiring physical therapists. This entry-level DPT is a hybrid, low-residency program. Classes are a mix of online lectures and monthly onsite lab experiences.

The Ph.D. in Health Care (Sub-programmes: Medicine, Pharmacy, Psychology) program aims to prepare highly qualified scientists and academics in the fields of medicine, pharmacy, and psychology by using an integrative and complementary approach. This cutting-edge Program is facilitated by excellent faculty who are subject-matter experts. All courses are taught by PA-C, DMSc, PhD, MD’s with extensive experience in academia as well as clinical practice.

Physical Therapy is one of the fastest growing and most rewarding careers in the United States. Today's physical therapists play a significant role in the concept of total patient management and are specialists in addressing movement dysfunction while focusing on preventative care to minimize disability for a wide range of age groups in a variety of settings. The Walsh University Physical Therapy curriculum, an intensive three-year (8-semester) program, including summers, leads to a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.

The focus of this PhD program is to introduce medical knowledge into basic biological science PhD training to train the next generation of biomedical translational researchers. Graduates of our program will have the skills to enhance the movement of discoveries from bench to bedside.

The Genetic Counseling Master of Science Program at the Medical College of Wisconsin will prepare the next generation of genetic counselors to be diverse leaders at the forefront in the delivery of precision health.

The Precision Medicine Education program based in the Medical College of Wisconsin Institute for Health & Equity offers exclusively online coursework toward a 30-credit Master of Precision Medicine degree and a 12-credit Graduate Certificate in Precision Medicine (PM). Clinician participants in the program will advance their knowledge, skills, practices and competencies in PM. Learners may also enroll in courses as non-degree-seeking students.

The Clinical/Bioanalytical Chemistry program applies the knowledge of chemistry and, in particular, chemical analysis to the study of the origins and diagnoses of diseases. Graduates of this PhD program are employed in many clinical- bioanalytical settings. They become directors of clinical laboratories and research scientists in biomedical and biotechnology fields, in invitro diagnostics, in reference and analytical laboratories, in academic institutions, and in many other settings

The doctoral program in Applied Biomedical Engineering is a collaborative program between the Washkewicz College of Engineering of CSU and the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute.

MSP seeks individuals who are clinically minded, possess a mature focus, display strong interpersonal skills, demonstrate critical thinking, and who have the goal of becoming a practicing clinician. Well-rounded individuals with proven academic success, professionalism, and an understanding of the field are encouraged to apply.

The PsyD program is a post-master’s program that requires applicants to complete a graduate-level practicum prior to admission, including working with individuals and/or families in a clinical context. Incoming students must have a beginning understanding of the psychotherapeutic process as evidenced by a basic knowledge of how commonly occurring client problems are helped by different treatment approaches, and demonstrate interest in and readiness for self-reflection in clinical practicum.

The Cellular and Molecular Medicine Specialization offers unique opportunities for Biology, Chemistry and Applied Biomedical Engineering doctoral students who wish to pursue a specialization in the application of modern cellular and molecular approaches to understanding disease causes and disease mechanisms.

The Case Western Reserve University graduate programs include the MS, PhD, and PhD/MD in Biomedical Engineering. The MS program in Biomedical Engineering provides broad training in biomedical engineering and biomedical sciences with depth in an engineering specialty. In addition, students are expected to develop the ability to work independently on a biomedical research or design project.
