10 Theology Diploma Programs

The aim of the Diploma in Theology (DipTheol) is to offer a one-year course which will enhance knowledge and understanding of the main sub-disciplines of theology. A student who has completed a DipTheol may apply for credit towards the first year of a three-year Bachelor of Theology (BTheol) degree.

The Diploma of Higher Education in Theology (DipHE) offers a deep foundation for those wanting to grow in their faith, wrestle with questions, or step into career paths including ministry, religious education, and third sector work. The DipHE can count as credit towards the BA (Hons) in Theology, giving you maximum flexibility in your educational journey. With full-time and flexible part-time routes available, the DipHE can be studied over two years full-time or three to eight years part-time.

The Diploma can be studied over two years (full-time) or up to four years (part-time). Students may wish to exit with this qualification or use it as the first level towards completion of the degree. This vocational pathway will build on student’s prior experiences and equip Christian youth and community workers for a range of ministries. Carefully tailored to deliver a blend of specialist knowledge and skills training, along with extensive opportunities for putting them into practice, students will reflect upon the relationship between theology and youth and community work practice through the lens and principles of the Christian faith. You will be studying alongside those on the BA(Hons) Theology (Youth and Community) course and other pathways which provides an intentional depth of learning and engagement with people serving in a range of ministry contexts as well as youth ministry.

Those who have already completed the LifeQuest program or one year at an educational institution equivalent to ours may transfer into our Biblical and Theological Studies Program. These two additional years will prepare you for full-time Christian service. After completing this program, you will be awarded a Diploma of Biblical and Theological Studies. Graduates from this program may transfer their credits into our Advanced Biblical Ministries/B.Th. program.
