This online physical education course will help you launch a career in adventure activities, health, and fitness.

The two-year Outdoor Adventure Ontario College Diploma program prepares you for working in the outdoors, leading adventure trips, and teaching outdoor skills. Half of your time in the program is spent outdoors, in a variety of locations and adventure operations, including our partner training location at Wilderness Tours.

This course provides an opportunity to interact with and learn from very successful, highly qualified, and experienced fitness professionals. It also allows you to obtain valuable skills in one of the fastest-growing professions while at the same time making a real difference to your current or future clients' health, well-being, and confidence.

Our busy days are often highly scheduled, making it essential that quality wellness and recreation services are available within our community. Recreation and sport professionals help build healthy communities and develop programs for individuals of all ages. Please note: The program name on the Ontario College application portals is Recreation and Leisure Services - Sports. Upon successful program completion, students will receive an Ontario College Diploma in Recreation, Sport and Leisure.

This course is a progression course for students who are already working in the fitness industry and/or have studied fitness instruction at level 2. This course is designed to provide students with the skills and advanced knowledge needed to work with a range of clientele that require instruction to meet a range of needs in different environments. If you have a passion for physical activity, exercise have studied at level 2 in fitness industry courses, and you enjoy interacting with people with a range of needs then this course is for you. This course will provide you with the knowledge, understanding and skills to work unsupervised as a personal trainer in the sport and leisure industry.
