46 Arts Diploma Programs

This Diploma of Higher Education in Arts and Humanities encompasses a wide range of fascinating disciplines in the arts and humanities. These include art history, classical studies, creative writing, English literature, history, music, philosophy and religious studies. You can also combine your study of the arts with other options including English language, French, German or Spanish, science, technology, psychology, or social science.

The Indigenous Arts Diploma is a two-year program that focuses on developing the skills and knowledge to be a self-employed artist. In the first year of the program, students will complete the Indigenous Arts Certificate, which covers core Indigenous art forms and introductory-level study in various other fine arts and craft media.

This is a fast-track qualification suitable for domestic and international students who only just miss New Zealand university entrance requirements and who are well placed to succeed in level 5 studies and transition into university study through a focused and highly supported environment.

The Diploma of Arts is your pathway to an Arts degree at Monash. If you're inspired by new ideas, social and political issues, language and the way literature history and communication shapes our world, then our Diploma of Arts could be for you. Our diplomas are offered in two parts: part 1 and part 2. In part 1, you’ll study core Arts subjects to prepare you for your chosen stream.

This pathway meets requirements for the Associate of Fine Arts (AFA) with a concentration in 3D - Sculpture or Ceramics. Completion of this pathway is designed to build a strong portfolio in 3D arts as well as prepare you for further education in the visual arts such as a Bachelor of Art (BA) with Studio Art or Art History emphasis, a Bachelor of Fine Art (BFA) or Master of Fine Art (MFA) in Visual Art, and/or entering the creative economy with a dynamic portfolio.
