The Department of Architecture offers the Diploma in Architecture, which has unconditional validation from the Architectural Profession (SACAP) and the Commonwealth Association for Architecture (CAA).

A Diploma is a 12-month course that gives you the foundational skills and knowledge in a specific stream. A Diploma in Architecture will take you straight into Second Year at UNSW – in a Bachelor of Architectural Studies, Bachelor of Interior Architecture (Honours) or a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (Honours).

The Diploma of Design and Architecture prepares you for the complete range of exciting degrees offered by the UTS Faculty of Design, Architecture, and Building. Our student community enjoys a connected and collaborative learning environment, with a strong emphasis on practical design skills, creative thinking, and concept generation. There are two distinct streams offered: Architecture and Design.

The Architectural Technologies program is designed to provide you with the essential skills, knowledge, and abilities required to work as an Architectural Technologist for architectural firms, residential builders and many other companies involved in the construction industry. The purpose of the program is to enable graduates to be able to perform and manage the fundamental duties of a junior architectural technologist.

Start your career as an architectural or civil draftsperson. Be ready to help architects, engineers, and project managers with your skills in AutoCAD, architectural design, and building code. Students in this program prepare to work alongside architects, designers, and project managers.
