The BA in Fashion Design and Sustainable Fashion Management is a three-year (6 semesters) full-time programme taught in English. You’ll learn how to design clothes, footwear and accessories, use virtual tools and 3D printing, and take part in social-ecosystems shaping the future of eco-fashion.

Industrial design is the youngest of the practical disciplines. In Poland, the industrial design grew out of the tradition of practical arts, establishing itself as an independent field in the late 1970s. Thus, by definition, industrial design is the design of the form and features of products intended to be marketed. Failure to recognize its uniqueness as compared to the other creative disciplines, too often leads to it being described as one of the practical arts and crafts, and consequently to it being wrongly understood by society in general.

This innovative and unique two-year program of studies has been devised by the staff of the Faculty of Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice with the assistance and advice of external experts from such institutions as the Helen Hamlyn Centre For Design, EIDD, TU Delft, University of Hasselt, Gehl People, and other experts active in the field.

During Fashion Communications & Brand Design programme, students develop and achieve skills of creating and managing a fashion brand, building it’s identity and recognition by potential customers on the market.

Designing Reading Experience and Interactive Storytelling is an interdisciplinary, master’s program of studies in English within the framework of the Graphic Design program offered by the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. It prepares its future graduates to face and tackle complex design challenges related to the experience of reading, that is to the analysis and comprehension of content and to the communication of ideas, conceptions, and solutions by means of employing universal techniques of story-telling based on narratives and interaction.
