The Master of Arts (MA) in Graphic Design at the Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA) is a two-year, English language program intended to develop a student’s independent practice and define their position as a graphic designer.

The Master of Urban Studies is a two-year, English-language program focused on rethinking contemporary urbanism. The program combines history, theory and practice, drawing on critical approaches in planning, geography and architecture. It is aimed at students who want to contribute towards a more equitable future. Key themes include infrastructure, urban nature and housing.

The Craft Studies MA curriculum expands on the discipline and understanding of contemporary crafts and advances professional development, critical expression, and artistic research into materials, processes, concepts and identities. Through studio work and craft theory, students take part in recrafting the cultural, social, economic and ecological narratives. This program is a hub for emerging craft makers and thinkers.

Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) is a research-based programme that brings together computing, interaction design, and cognitive psychology. The programme prepares specialists who can analyse human behaviour, design meaningful digital experiences, and create interactive systems grounded in theory and evidence. HCI offers a strong combination of technical, design, and research skills that students consistently value for its depth and international perspective.

Digital Learning Games is an interdisciplinary programme that combines game design with educational sciences and psychology. In DLG, we recognise that video games are more than entertainment: they also offer unique ways of tackling educational and societal issues. We welcome educators, designers, developers, artists, and everyone else interested in creating innovative games that can help make the world a better place.

This is a two-week extensive hands-on course in interaction design. The main goal of the course is to empower people to shape their digital environment thus providing a new level of digital literacy. The course introduces core design and interaction design topics in a provocative stance, inviting participants to reflect upon ongoing shifts, connections, and re-framings in just about every area of interaction design, and inciting a rebellion against passivity.

This is a two-week practical course on design systems with the primary goal of equipping designers with industry-standard knowledge of design systems and teaching them how to create, maintain, audit, and communicate component libraries for maximum efficiency in the design process.
