Erected by the National Episcopal Conference of Congo in July 2009, the Faculty of Political Science intends to promote in-depth teaching and rigorous research in political science. It also intends to contribute to the advent and development of policies based on the experience of peoples.

In 1996, the Permanent Committee of Bishops of the Congo approved a new organization of studies at the Faculty of Theology, which came into effect in October of the same year. The Université Catholique de Bukavu organizes a DES (Diploma of Specialized Studies) in Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law through the Regional Center for Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law (CERDHO) of the Faculty of Law .

At the third cycle level, students can acquire the degrees of Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies, Doctor and Aggrégé in higher education in Economics and Development.

We have been around since the early days of the Université Catholique de Bukavu . The first program of the Faculty of Medicine began to operate in the first years of the opening of the Université Catholique de Bukavu .

The student of this faculty must develop scientific honesty to access the inner world of the other, a spirit of synthesis capable of grasping the essence of a message, a general culture nourished by a good knowledge of the environment, an interest pushed for languages and languages and a great capacity for adaptation.

The basic studies are spread over five years, ie 3 years of graduat and 2 years of licence. The license program can be supplemented by that of the Aggregation of higher secondary education (organized by the Department of Aggregation of higher secondary education), which authorizes the license holder to teach in secondary schools.

The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, one of the 6 faculties of the Université Catholique de Bukavu (UCB), a private university created in 1989 by decree of the Archbishop of Bukavu and declared of public utility by presidential decree n° 06/106 June 12, 2006. As a university, it has a threefold mission: teaching, research and service to the community.

The basic training extends over two cycles: 3 years of graduat and 2 years of licence. The degree program in theology can be supplemented by that of the Aggregation of secondary education of the higher degree which authorizes the licensee to teach in secondary schools.

Students who follow the higher secondary education aggregation program normally take the exams at the end of the second year of the licence. They are strongly advised to follow the general courses of the program from the first year of the license.

The Faculty of Sciences of the UCB exists since 2003 and had at the beginning only the Department of Computer Sciences. The opening of this Department responded at the time to an unprecedented need to provide greater Kivu and its surroundings with highly qualified university executives in the computer field. For several years, UCB's strategic managers have been aware of the dual need to gradually consolidate this Computer Science Department, the importance of which continues to grow, while diversifying the training offer in light of the Company's needs.
