The BA Contemporary Dance: Stage Dance/Performance/Dance Pedagogy, is an artistic and highly physical full-time study. It aims to educate new generations of well-informed, critical, and dedicated artists and consists of three areas: stage dance, performance, and contemporary dance pedagogy.

MA Dance: Creative Dance Education will allow you to study the art and science of dance education by considering a wide range of needs, teaching styles and modern perspectives on teaching and learning. You’ll put your learning into practice as you take part in industry-led workshops and participate in two work-based placements. The course Dance Composition (M.A.) is offered in three branches: Choreography, Interpretation, and Movement Notation / Movement Analysis. The studies include the following main study areas: majors, theory, and observation / practical experience.

To touch, to move, to inspire - this is the true gift of dance. Exploring the work of some of the foremost names in dance will lead to giving you an understanding of their techniques and how to apply them to your own creative work, developing your confidence as an inspiring choreographer, whilst also developing your skills as a performer.

This course is a mixture of technical exercises and sequences given by the tutor and room for improvisation and self-expression. You will also develop your dance compositional skills by using German Tanztheater's tools, as this course is regularly performing in Morley College's Dance events.
