The Mission at INTERLINK A.C.E. at Seattle Pacific University is to provide students with the language skills, cultural knowledge, and experience they need to use English to effectively communicate in academia and the workplace and to provide opportunities for personal growth.

The Department of Architecture offers a 25 credit Minor in Architectural Studies. This includes at least 20 credits of Architecture courses (of which at least 9 credits must be upper-division courses), plus 5 additional credits of upper-division courses taken in the College of Built Environments. Courses numbered 300-level and above are considered upper-division. Any undergraduate student with at least sophomore standing (45 credits completed) who is declared in a major may declare a minor. To declare a minor, meet with your major department adviser. Only the adviser in your major department may sign the form to declare a minor; this is to ensure students meet satisfactory progress requirements. Students are strongly encouraged to meet with the minor adviser to discuss the subject matter of the minor and plans for completion of the minor.

The Diversity Minor aims to strengthen students’ understanding of how race, class, gender, disability, ethnicity, nationality, sexuality, religion, and age interact to define identities and social relations. The program brings cohesion to a variety of courses selected to increase students’ critical thinking about issues of diversity.

Students who minor in Asian Languages and Culture can tailor their studies within the discipline of Asian Languages and Literature to their interests and goals. This makes the degree highly versatile and valuable to combine with the study of another Asian language or culture, courses needed for pre-professional studies, or other disciplines. A minor in South Asian Languages and Cultures combines language study in Bengali, Hindi, Sanskrit, or Urdu with courses on the literatures and cultures of South Asia. Students who earn a minor in Indonesian achieve proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia, the national language of Indonesia, and gain an in-depth knowledge of Indonesian culture. Courses emphasize exploring Indonesia’s diverse culture, including literature as well as videos, music, and current events. Modern Japanese pop culture touchstones known the world over, including books, films, and anime, flourish on the surface of a literary tradition that spans 13 centuries. Students explore this tradition and analyze the features of the Japanese language in order to understand its use. The Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Division is focused on UW Medicine’s mission to improve the health of the public. Our highly specially trained team is committed to exceptional clinical care, education, and research. The Division’s clinical practice focuses on patients undergoing cardiac, thoracic, vascular, electrophysiology surgeries and is a leader in structural heart and cardiac catheterization procedures.

Computational Finance and Risk Management is the application of advanced mathematical, statistical, and computational methods to solving quantitative finance problems. Students will investigate financial topics and explore the business world rationally, creatively, and critically, in a quantitative way.
