These two-year courses, recently introduced by the government, offer a unique combination of classroom-based learning and on-the-job training through a 45-day industry placement. Equivalent to three A levels, this level 3 technical option has been designed in partnership with businesses and employers to give you the knowledge and skills you need to succeed in the fast-paced world of business.

This creative course provides a fantastic opportunity to learn how to create computer games in one of the fastest developing creative industries in the world. You will gain a solid foundation of the creative processes involved in character design, motion capture, app game development, retro gaming, conceptual art and visual design aspects of computer games required to convert a game concept into reality.

Individuals in the role of a Professional Accounting/Tax Technician will have responsibility for creating, and / or verifying and reviewing, accurate and timely financial information within the organisation in which they are employed or on behalf of another organisation. This will be performed in order to meet relevant ethical, professional and legal standards, and will utilise the individual's knowledge of the business systems and processes, as well as standard accounting and tax practices.

Carpentry and Joinery Apprenticeships give you the skills needed for careers in joinery, carpentry and shop fitting. Roles may be carried out on construction sites, existing domestic or commercial premises or in workshops. During this apprenticeship you may follow one of two pathways which may be decided by your employer.

The main purpose of a customer service specialist is to be a "professional" for direct customer support within all sectors and organisation types. You are an advocate of Customer Service who acts as a referral point for dealing with more complex or technical customer requests, complaints, and queries. You are often an escalation point for complicated or ongoing customer problems. As an expert in your organisation's products and/or services, you share knowledge with your wider team and colleagues.

An Assistant Accountant provides support to internal and external customers and will work predominately either as an assistant accountant within practice or alternatively within the finance function of an organisation. Part of their role will involve assisting in the day to day financial activities such as data entry to month end management accounts and/or year-end financial statements. In addition the Assistant Accountant may find themselves involved in regulatory financial requirements such as the completion of VAT returns or assisting in the preparation of tax computations.

The level 2 BTEC First in Business provides a platform for you to develop skills in the business sector. The qualification aims to give you an awareness of the benefits and drawbacks in Business and its impact on society. You will gain a high quality, nationally-recognised qualification while developing your knowledge of this rapidly evolving industry.

T Levels are new two-year, Level 3 study programmes that will follow the study of GCSEs and Technical Awards at Key Stage 4 and offer an attractive alternative to A Levels and Apprenticeships. T Levels will combine classroom theory, practical learning and a minimum 315 hours of industry placement with an employer to make sure students have real experience of the workplace. During the two-year programme, students will learn the core knowledge that underpins each industry, and they will also develop occupationally specific skills that will allow them to enter skilled employment within a specific occupation.
