The Spanish culture courses (art, cinema, politics, institutions, creative industries, with Barcelona as a backdrop), focus on communication, conversation skills and improvement of writing in Spanish; and the specific purposes courses of economy and society taught in English organized by Estudios Hispánicos for foreigners, interested in improving knowledge of these subjects with specialized teachers. These courses have been on offer for over 70 years.

We offer Teacher Training courses both during the academic year and in the summer, courses that can fit your needs and interests. From Introductory courses to those focused on one single aspect of Foreign Language Teaching, such as the use of Film in the Language Classroom, or the role of multimodal learning in the use of ICTs.

At EAS Barcelona we carry out all the instructor courses, from the basic training instructor (FI) to the multi-engine instructor (CRI) or instrument flight instructor (IRI). We also conduct seminars for the renewal of instructor ratings.

The Flow & Grow Semester Program is a structured 12-week Gap Year program that immerses students in Spain’s language and culture while providing them with the necessary tools to thrive in their personal and professional lives. Our Gap Year Program includes Spanish lessons, skill development classes, outdoor activities and weekend excursions around Spain.

Our Spanish Courses (of all Levels) are designed to provide complete immersion in the Spanish language and its environment through the very experiences that students will live through both in-class and elsewhere (projects, presentations, short films, subtitling, plays, blogging, drama, art, dubbing videos), both in the Spanish classes and the Courses we offer as a complement for the Language classes: Film, Theatre, Art, Spanish for Tourism, Business Spanish, Spanish Culture and Spanish Gastronomy. All the intensive courses have university ECTS credits and all students have access to all university services and facilities.

In EAS Barcelona we train professional pilots to work in Airline companies. The favorite training the applicants choose is the integrated course as it contains in less time the best training, combining the theoretical knowledge, as they are obtained, with the flight practice training and the simulator.

Combine elective courses (STEM, Humanities, Social Sciences) in English or Spanish for your major or minor in any of the University of Alicante programs with Spanish language course/s. Two main programs: Focus on uni and Focus on Spanish. You decide whether you want to focus on the electives and only have a little Spanish, or you prefer to focus on improving your language skills and intercultural competence with Spanish courses and only take one elective.

Hispanic Studies is a University of Barcelona institution that has focused on teaching Spanish language and culture to international students for over sixty years. Throughout the academic year, it offers a wide range of language and culture courses. Spanish language courses are adapted to the levels in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL) and programmes are based on the Cervantes Institute Curricular Plan (PCIC). In the classes, work on grammar points is closely associated with language practice, in a communicative, dynamic, flexible framework.

For one month each year, 15 selected participants co-direct a series of 3-5 minute documentaries with OTOXO Productions. These shorts are distributed to festivals & media outlets around the world and streamed on the OTOXO platform.
