If you’re looking for the most well-rounded education you can get in a single degree program, the Bachelor of Arts & Science program is the way to go. The BA&Sc combines an Arts discipline with scientific training to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed for a wide variety of situations. Choose from six concentrations in Arts – Christian Studies, English, History, Psychology, Religious Studies, or Sociology – and concentrate on Biology in Science.

This one day course will introduce the science behind crime scene investigation. Learn about how forensic scientists can use fingerprints and DNA to solve mysteries through fun interactive practical activities in our purpose-built laboratory.

The goal of this course is to help students to build and connect their understanding of science in the context of daily life, as well as to introduce them to the disciplines of science that they might study in senior courses. The objective of Science 10 is to develop skills, knowledge, and attitudes required for scientific literacy and understanding, both by working scientifically and studying theory.

The Solar System and Beyond is a fun and informative course for those fascinated by our solar system's mysteries. The course will feature an exploration of Earth, the solar system, stars, and galaxies.

It incorporates the units of study of biology and mathematics, introducing students to the foundations of scientific understanding, while elucidating scientific principles and methods. At the High Mountain Institute, we believe deeply in the philosophy of education through experience. This course offers progression onto higher education degree level courses and a chance to change your career and prospects. You could progress to courses in, for example, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Pharmacy, Radiography, Biomedical Sciences and a range of related degrees. You need to be at least 19 years of age to study on this course and a student loan is available to cover the cost of tuition fees. If you subsequently progress on to a degree course and successfully complete it, this loan will be written off.

The Avalanche Science program at Colorado Mountain College Leadville is unlike any other snow safety program in the country. Designed by industry experts from the Colorado Avalanche Information Center, Colorado Mountain College and the U.S. Forest Service, the program prepares current and aspiring avalanche workers with comprehensive training and education.
