Individuals in the role of a Professional Accounting/Tax Technician will have responsibility for creating, and / or verifying and reviewing, accurate and timely financial information within the organisation in which they are employed or on behalf of another organisation. This will be performed in order to meet relevant ethical, professional and legal standards, and will utilise the individual's knowledge of the business systems and processes, as well as standard accounting and tax practices.

The Accounting major at Bethany College is comprehensive and provides students with the knowledge for pursuing advanced degrees and entry-level positions in accounting at public accounting firms and in various business entities.

Accounting is the recording and communication of financial accounts. It is one of the most basic and important skills in business and management.

This programme has been designed for learners who are passionate about Accounting.

Accounting Administrators oversee a company’s financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.

This programme is endorsed by the ICB and is for learners who are responsible for the costing, budgeting and allocation of resources within an accounting environment in a small or large organisation.

The purpose of this programme is to enable the learner to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Management Accounting control systems.
