9 Nursing Assisting Course Programs

This program is ideal for international students or new immigrants who do not speak English as a first language. It is also suitable for students without a health care background who are not familiar with medical terminology.

The program is designed to prepare students to become a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the state of Florida. Upon completion of the nursing assistant program, students are eligible to make application to the Florida State Board of Nursing to take the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) examination. A Patient Care Technician must become a CNA to practice as a PCT.

This program is the accelerated version of the Health Care Assistant program in Gateway College. Students receive the same training and credentials, but complete their studies within six months! Our dedicated and experienced instructors will provide quality education with hands-on training to prepare students for the real world. Students will practice their techniques in labs equipped with articulated mannequins, hospital beds, medical gear and fixtures.

This major is designed to prepare nurses for the highest level of clinical practice in nursing as an Adult Gerontological Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP).

Our Specialty Training Apprenticeship for Registered Nurses (StaRN) program is a 12-17 week paid internship providing new graduates with the opportunity to start their nursing careers with speciality training in acute care! The program involves classroom training, simulation training, clinical preceptorship, and professional development.

This healthcare assistant program is designed to train learners to become Health Care Professionals. Our dedicated and experienced instructors will provide quality education with hands-on training to prepare students for the real world. Students will practice their techniques in labs equipped with articulated mannequins, hospital beds, medical gear, and fixtures.

EUX Welfare is for you who want to be skilled and have even more opportunities for further education. With EUX Welfare, you get a Social and health assistant education where you also have subjects at the upper secondary level. This means that you become a student and Social and health assistant at the same time.

This program prepares the student to function as an entry-level worker on a healthcare team. The focus will be on preparing the student to provide direct care to the patient/resident, promote comfort measures, and collect, record, and report data to licensed personnel.

Graduates of this program will perform basic first aid, CPR, take vital signs, apply the elements of basic nutrition in meal planning, and follow infection control measures. Additionally, they will be able to apply proper body mechanics in bed making, lifting, and turning patients.
