Through our revolutionary mentor-apprentice (extern) approach, the Recording Connection partners with hundreds of established audio engineers and music producers to train our students on-the-job.

Take your beat-making and hip-hop music production to the professional level by apprenticing (externing) in a real recording studio alongside a major Hip-Hop Producer

You dream about it at night. You obsess over it during the day. You know you have the natural talent, and you believe you have what it takes to make it in the industry as an electronic music producer.

Music producing is a key part of the music recording process. While the audio engineer focuses mostly on the technical aspects of recording, the music producer focuses more on the artistic process.

Do you hear the music in your head, and long for a user-friendly way to bring that music through the speakers or onto the dance floor? Look no further than Logic Pro X, the digital audio workstation (DAW) of choice for composers of original music and electronic musicians alike.

At the Recording Connection, you’ll receive our exclusive one-on-one mentoring as you learn hands-on, working alongside top professionals in your field of interest. We partner with award-winning sound designers, mixers, and composers who have contributed to films like Black Hawk Down and We Were Soldiers, as well as top video games like Batman: Arkham Asylum and Guild Wars 2.

After receiving practical, one-on-one training in audio engineering and music production with a seasoned professional, the next step is to become certified in Pro Tools™. We are proud and excited to offer this opportunity through the Recording Connection's Pro Tools™ Certification Programs.

Designed with the serious aspiring producer/engineer in mind, our advanced course builds upon the foundation laid by the basic apprenticeship course, giving you the opportunity to take your skills to the next level through intensive hands-on learning.

Prepare for a career as an audio engineer learning directly from the pros, apprenticing (externing) under a seasoned audio engineer. Break into the music industry by getting inside it from day one.

A thorough working knowledge of Ableton Live is essential if you're planning to be an electronic musician or club DJ. With its combination of powerful on-board virtual instruments, powerful arrangement tools and live-performance capabilities, Ableton is uniquely suited to the needs of today's electronic musician.

You probably already realize this, but just to be clear: if you want to become a successful touring DJ, you won’t get the tools, skills or connections you need by sitting in a crowded classroom—and you certainly don’t need to saddle yourself with tons of student debt in the process.

Pro Tools was developed by a group of audio engineers out of the growing need for a software program that could replicate the functions of expensive studio equipment in a digital environment. Since its development, this powerful digital audio workstation has come to be the industry standard among audio professionals.
