The X-Ray Technology Program at JEM College in Riverside, CA is a 9-month program that trains students to perform duties primarily in an outpatient medical environment such as in urgent care, medical offices, orthopedic offices, chiropractic offices, industrial, medical clinics, and family practice.

To educate students to acquire satisfactory skills and demonstrate competence in Radiographic examinations under the scope of the permits of Chest, Extremities, and Torso-skeletal categories and to educate students to acquire satisfactory medical assisting skills and demonstrate competence of clinical skills in injections, venipuncture, and electrocardiography.

The student receives eight hundred eighty (880) hours of didactic and laboratory instruction and eight hundred (800) hours of clinical education, allowing them to apply the lecture topics to practical use.

The program prepares the student to become an essential member of the healthcare team. The student radiographer learns about the characteristics and potential hazards of radiation and applies this knowledge to produce quality diagnostic images that will assist the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of injuries and diseases.
