The Technion’s semester study abroad program in engineering and science is designed to give international students a unique academic experience, as well as a chance to get to know Israel, the “Start-Up Nation.”

In CISOD - Food, Sustainability and Rights the Seasonal School will introduce participants to the urgent topic of food sustainability, exploring how to build sustainable and climate-resilient agri-food systems through a dialogue between social and life sciences. Regulatory and non-regulatory measures for socially inclusive and environmentally more efficient food systems will be addressed.

Overview of health development across the lifespan followed by an examination of common conditions that typically begin in certain stages. Each condition will be examined for its individual, group and systemic impacts.

A summer pre-university programme for teens, hosted at University College London (UCL). The Engineering and Science Faculty immerses students in fundamental concepts of engineering and applied science. This programme combines rigorous theoretical learning with dynamic, hands-on experiences across fields like mechanics, sustainability, and innovation.

Addresses the specifics of new product and service development and fostering innovation and technology to increase performance. Topics include generating and screening initial ideas; assessing user needs and interests; forecasting results; launching and improving products and programs; and bringing innovation to commercial reality.

This program offers a full semester (27 ECTS credits) taught in English.

This course aims to train specialized senior technicians to direct, coordinate and control the activities and operations of food and beverage services (Food and Beverage) in catering and beverage establishments, integrated or not in hotel units, guaranteeing the quality of the service, the optimization resources and maximizing the profitability of the business.

This program offers a full semester (30 ECTS credits) taught in English.

Planning and programming are major components of programme management by any health system actor such as governments, national and international non-governmental organisations and the private sector: being able to plan well and set up effective programmes is a key competence of any health programme manager and health sector consultant.

BRI - Biodiversity and Business: from Research to Impact is the protection of biodiversity presents a worldwide challenge, with the EU striving to take the lead in addressing its decline through its 2030 Biodiversity Strategy. Businesses are pivotal in crafting a framework that preserves and restores biodiversity along with the ecosystem services it offers.

FFWD-Plants focuses on quantitative genetics methods, including population genetics and marker-trait association studies, to discuss ways in which the discovery and use of agrobiodiversity can be accelerated for crop improvement. The host of FFWD-Plants is the group of Translational Plant Genomics at Scuola Sant'Anna, which will provide the core training in the course. 

This module puts rights at the centre of SHRH: Organising Equitable Responses and builds on contemporary evidence to critically analyse effective responses across the constituent parts of the health system and beyond. Participants critically examine synergies and efficiencies, and the trade-offs that need to be made in the process of service strengthening within and beyond the domain of SRHR.

The Seasonal School will introduce participants to the urgent topic of the European Union’s transition towards sustainable agriculture and food systems, situating it within the broader global debate on food security, sustainability, and climate resilience. It will provide participants with the knowledge and analytical skills necessary to understand the legal and policy framework for building more equitable and sustainable agri-food systems.

In WAT-CHANGE - Water-Related Ecosystem Services for Adapting Societies to Climate Change Seasonal School aims at introducing the participants to the new growing area of solutions provided by water-related ecosystem services. In particular, we will deal with nature-based solutions for water supply, treatment of polluted water, and flood risk mitigation such as managed aquifer recharge, river restoration, constructed wetlands, sustainable drainage systems, and remediation of contaminated sites using phytoremediation techniques.

The Core Course in Public Health and Health Equity is a 3 months course that prepares you to systematically analyse and address complex public health issues, covering epidemiology, health system aspects, and broader social determinants of health. The course focuses on health equity in low-resource settings and high-resource settings with disadvantaged populations. It can be taken as a stand-alone course or as part of the Master of Science in Public Health and Health Equity. It forms also part of the post-graduate training programme for physicians leading to a diploma as MD Global Health (AIGT).
