This program is designed to help international law students and international lawyers improve their profiles through enhanced legal English and knowledge of the U.S. legal systems, dispute resolution, business and corporate law. The program also helps build the confidence and lawyering skills that many prospective employers are seeking from potential employees. Through this program, participants will learn from Moritz College of Law’s faculty experts as well as judges and practitioners working at federal courts and global law firms in Columbus.

The School of Justice Studies (which houses the Administration of Justice Program) strives to provide our students with the legal, ethical, and educational background necessary to pursue a career in a criminal justice-related field and to successfully transition into a 4- year academic program. The criminal justice system is a diversified occupational area with available employment opportunities on the federal, state, and county levels: Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Border Patrol, California Highway Patrol, municipal police departments, county sheriff's departments, federal and state departments of correction, probation, and parole.

A minor in Legal Studies offers students a foundational understanding of legal principles, systems, and processes, preparing them for various careers that intersect with law and legal issues. Here are key aspects and benefits of pursuing a minor in Legal Studies: Foundational Legal Knowledge: Introduction to Law: Students gain an overview of legal systems, branches of law (such as criminal law, civil law, administrative law), legal theories, and fundamental legal concepts. Legal Research: Students learn basic legal research methods, including how to find and analyze legal sources such as statutes, regulations, case law, and legal precedents. Legal Writing: Developing skills in legal writing, including drafting legal memos, briefs, case analyses, and other legal documents following standard legal formats and citation styles.

The minor in business ethics and legal studies, available to students in any major program, provides a fundamental understanding of legal environments so that you can approach any career field with confidence. You'll have the chance to prepare yourself for the professional world with courses in business contracts, employment law and international business law.

As a nondegree-seeking student or alumnus, you can take one or more individual courses in specific areas.

Brooklyn Law School’s new Legal Language Institute was established in recognition that the globalized legal community conducts business in many languages and requires an understanding of different legal cultures.

In fact, it contributes to the provision of a professionally defined bachelor's degree program in security and legal activities, the basic principle of which is a permanent ambition to offer students within the tertiary sector of higher education holistically shaped educational outcomes, which aim to equip them with both theoretical knowledge and praxeological skills competencies that are necessary for their versatile, professional and qualified application in ensuring the performance of a diverse and diverse range of professional and specialized public law, security law activities and processes in the professional intentions of public law protection in public administration.

The major in government provides a broad introduction to the art, and science, of politics—that is, of the mechanisms by which human beings solve collective problems and pursue the common good. The subfields of contemporary political science are encompassed by courses in American politics, political theory, comparative politics (with regional coverage of much of the globe), and international relations. These may include offerings in political institutions and behavior, US and international law, public policy (including environmental politics), political economy, and the qualitative and quantitative methods used in the discipline.

Law clerks are trained to provide many important and highly specialized administrative duties related to the legal field. As a result, this profession has become an increasingly valuable resource to law firms and businesses alike. Graduates of this 52-Week Law Clerk program (includes a 190-hour placement) will work in a very fast-paced environment in law firms, corporate legal departments, financial institutions, insurance companies, title search companies, Federal, Provincial, and Municipal Government offices, court offices, registry offices, government boards and tribunals, and legal services provider agencies among a host of other institutions. Depending on the area of employment, law clerks have a wide range of responsibilities, including preparing trial documentation, interviewing witnesses, arranging trial dates and adjournments, preparing corporate/commercial documentation, completing family law financial statements, assisting in the administration of estates, completing legal research, searching titles and processing real estate transactions.
