6 Legal Practice Course Programs

This program is designed to help international law students and international lawyers improve their profiles through enhanced legal English and knowledge of the U.S. legal systems, dispute resolution, business and corporate law. The program also helps build the confidence and lawyering skills that many prospective employers are seeking from potential employees. Through this program, participants will learn from Moritz College of Law’s faculty experts as well as judges and practitioners working at federal courts and global law firms in Columbus.

The LPC is the final stage of training to become a qualified solicitor. You study the LPC after successful completion of a qualifying law degree, or other recognised qualifications.

Everyone in this country is affected by the Law in their daily lives. This course will help you to understand how the English legal system works, from where laws are made and the roles of people working in administration of the law such as magistrates, juries, lawyers and the police. By using a variety of learning activities, such as role play, class debates and internet research, you will have an excellent opportunity to develop an appreciation of the legal process.
