The Semester Study Abroad program welcomes students to UCT for one semester while pursuing a degree elsewhere.

The Technion’s semester study abroad program in engineering and science is designed to give international students a unique academic experience, as well as a chance to get to know Israel, the “Start-Up Nation.”

The American Language and Culture Program runs this program, where international students can study at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) in South Los Angeles, California.

A summer pre-university programme for teens, hosted at University College London (UCL). The Engineering and Science Faculty immerses students in fundamental concepts of engineering and applied science. This programme combines rigorous theoretical learning with dynamic, hands-on experiences across fields like mechanics, sustainability, and innovation.

Choose a study abroad program at Lorenzo de' Medici (LdM) - one of Italy’s most well-established international institutions in higher education. Students can choose between a range of courses in multiple disciplines and customize their study program to suit their academic and personal goals.

Our Study Abroad Program invites international students to apply to study here for one or two semesters. Successful completion of units can count towards your home institution degree.

Since 1969, the International Studies Program has been Trinity’s primary destination for the interdisciplinary study of world regions and global interrelations. Today twelve faculty members hold whole or partial appointments in International Studies and over thirty others provide courses and advising that are essential to the program. This wide participation allows students to make connections among many of the departments and programs on campus. Interested in the Middle East? Take courses in History, Language and Culture Studies, Political Science, Religion, and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Interested in the movement of peoples and ideas? Take courses originating in our program, such as Black Internationalism, Global Migration, and Gandhi, King, & Nonviolence. Interested in language acquisition and study abroad? We require it.

The minor in International Studies requires 15 credit hours of coursework, nine hours of which must be advanced courses at the 3000 level and above. The first nine credit hours (three courses) must be chosen from the Core Courses. The next six credit hours (two courses) must be chosen from "The Global Perspective." A co-curricular requirement is one year of college-level study or equivalent of a world language. Note: Latin does not count as a second language. Courses taken in language study do not count toward the 15 credit hours of required coursework.

International Studies is an established interdisciplinary field within the social sciences, but is relatively new owing to its connection with the emergence of a truly global society in the 20th century. Mainstream courses in international studies draw upon resources from political science, economics, history, sociology, anthropology, cultural studies, feminist theory and philosophy, global/critical race theory, media and technology studies, arts and music, and even the natural sciences as needed to inform our empirical understanding of “the international” terrain.

The Program in Global Nineteenth-Century Studies is designed to enable students to combine courses offered in several departments/programs with independent work to explore the long nineteenth century, from the beginnings of the American Revolution to the First World War, and to consider the transformative impact of the period through a multidisciplinary lens.

The programme is designed for senior managers with functional expertise moving from leading a business unit or function to a general management role where they manage a more complex business entity across its entirety.

Fashion is an economic force, a culture industry and a powerful way to convey identity, politics, status, and personality. This is a groundbreaking area of specialization that offers the chance to study the phenomenon of fashion from a variety of standpoints and in a unique interdisciplinary framework. The CUNY Graduate Center — located on Fifth Avenue in a landmark building, the former B. Altman department store — is the only University in the US that is not a design or fashion school to offer a Master’s degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Fashion Studies. This is a groundbreaking area of specialization that offers the chance to study the phenomenon of fashion from a variety of standpoints and in a unique interdisciplinary framework, and will enable students to serve as adjunct instructors in the CUNY colleges and beyond where fashion courses are taught.

Not sure which career path to follow? Explore your options while earning college-level credits that you can apply towards another program or a university degree. The General Arts and Science program provides students with a broad foundation in liberal arts, social sciences, natural sciences, and humanities. It is designed to offer students the opportunity to explore a variety of subjects before specializing in a particular field of study.

As a field of inquiry, Africana studies describes and analyzes the origins and experiences of people of African descent wherever they live or have lived. The intellectual traditions inform this field of African American, African, and African Diasporic studies.

A joint effort by Africana Studies, American Studies and Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies, the Consortium for Critical Interdisciplinary Studies (CCIS) is dedicated to creating a vibrant intellectual community across disciplinary boundaries and fostering the in-depth study of race and ethnicity at Barnard College. CCIS offers students and faculty the intellectual space to develop transformative frameworks for thinking through issues of ethnicity and race in both local and global contexts.
