We offer General English and Business English courses. Our General English courses focus on the four core language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing to help you to use the English language more effectively. Adding module lessons to your course will intensify your course and help you personalize your learning. Typical module subjects include Grammar, Conversation, IELTS Preparation, and others. While our Business English courses help you develop skills and vocabulary relevant to the modern, international workplace through engaging, specialised classes.

After studying General English, you will be able to choose from a range of electives to take for two afternoons a week, to allow you to focus on the English skills that you most want to improve. These courses are for students who want to improve their English more quickly.

Bay Language Institute, conveniently located near five flying schools, has built up a good reputation for quality and excellent results in Aviation English training. Some two years ago we were accredited by the South African CAA to assess English Language Proficiency for pilots and ATCs.

Our General English Courses consist of 20 lessons per week, covering the four skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening, as well as grammar, and focusing on everyday English. The course is practical, value-for-money and fun.

Business English combines General English in the morning (20 lessons) and Business English in the afternoon for a total of 30 lessons per week.
