The Spanish culture courses (art, cinema, politics, institutions, creative industries, with Barcelona as a backdrop), focus on communication, conversation skills and improvement of writing in Spanish; and the specific purposes courses of economy and society taught in English organized by Estudios Hispánicos for foreigners, interested in improving knowledge of these subjects with specialized teachers. These courses have been on offer for over 70 years.

The undergraduate minor in Evolutionary Studies (EvoS) introduces students to evolutionary thinking across a wide range of academic disciplines and is explicitly meant to be interdisciplinary. Binghamton's Evolutionary Studies Program teaches evolution in an integrated fashion, beginning with core principles and extending from the biological sciences to all aspects of humanity.

The Department of Human Development also offers an interdisciplinary minor in immigration studies that explores the complex and multiple ways in which citizenship is defined and experienced at global, societal, institutional, community, and individual levels.

In CHINA FOCUS - Issues on China: Innovation, Society and Culture the Seasonal School "Issues on China: Innovation, Society and Culture" is an intensive program held from May 5 to May 9, 2025, in Pisa, organized by the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies. The Cultural Studies Program brings together an interdisciplinary group of scholars with a commitment to fostering new ways of analyzing and participating in contemporary cultural dynamics in Turkey and around the world. The program covers a wide range of topics and theoretical approaches, with particular emphasis on: literary and cultural theory; gender and sexuality, transnational mobility and migration; ethnic identities and citizenship; politics of representation; memory studies and oral history. 

The African American Studies Program is a social science based degree program designed to focus on the history, heritage, and social culture of African Americans and the African people of the diaspora. African American Studies provides the knowledge and skills, and interdisciplinary critical analysis necessary to help students understand, communicate, and appreciate the rich cultural diversity of American society through the study of the African American community.
