6 Commerce Course Programs

This program offers a full semester (30 ECTS credits) taught in English.

To all those professionals, entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs who need to deepen their knowledge in commercial management and acquire a global and systematic view of the operation of the commercial area.

If you are among the best and the brightest, the U.K. Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce offers you the opportunity and the challenge of integrating your undergraduate and graduate courses of study in a single continuous, accelerated program culminating in both a baccalaureate degree in Political Science and a Masters of Arts in Diplomacy and International Commerce.

This program is based closely on the Management and Organizational Studies program with diverse studies in both Business and the Social Sciences. There is a more distinctive and detailed focus on international business in this stream. Students have the opportunity to study with King’s professors at sister universities in Brazil or China. College transfer students are required to have a minimum cumulative average of "B" or better in an acceptable one-year certificate (General Arts and Sciences, Pre-Health Science, Human Services Foundation) or completed diploma. College transfer students may earn up to a maximum of five transfer credits. Individual courses must have a minimum achievement of 60% to be considered for transfer credit.

This course teaches students how to analyze major choices and negotiate deals in starting a business, involving people, assigning roles, compensating performance and financing. This course utilizes lectures, group work, journal writing, presentations and handouts throughout. Students will write a group business plan and do an individual presentation.

Global Commerce majors are prepared to succeed in the constantly changing circumstances of the 21st century. They investigate how and why goods, services, information, money and power are exchanged across the world. They ask questions and think critically about the risks and complex factors that shape the structures and practices of global trade, businesses, and organizations. And they create solutions to address the challenges, problems, and opportunities that businesses and organizations face in today’s global economy.
