As the official language of the UAE, Arabic language plays a large role in day to day life here. Whilst having the ability to speak or write Arabic is far from essential here, for non-native speakers, it could really set you apart in business and from others.

The mission of the Center for the Study of Modern Languages, Literatures, and Culture is twofold: to strengthen the liberal arts undergraduate curriculum at Goucher College by providing language programs of broad scope and high quality and to engage students in compelling transnational issues through the study of cultural texts produced by other countries.
