The Department of Plant Growing and Plant Protection prepares masters in the direction of Agronomy. The purpose of the department is to train highly qualified specialists in the field of technology for the cultivation of crops and the production of environmentally friendly crop products.

UCA's cross-disciplinary Earth and Environmental Sciences program integrates the study of socio-cultural, ecological, and geological systems to create informed and engaged leaders and scholars.
