To cope with the rapid development of digital entertainment industry in Hong Kong and Asia, this programme aims to equip students with practical knowledge and skill to become professionals for design and development of computer game, computer animation, and visual effects.

The Department of Sociology and Social Policy has more than ten professorial members from six different countries. Since 2014, it has had 19 research postgraduate students from Asia, Africa, Europe and North America, including an outstanding record of six Hong Kong PhD Fellows.

It combines established studies on cultural and creative industries. In response to the needs of Hong Kong society and economy, it aims to provide an interdisciplinary understanding for students to collectively explore the most dynamic sector of the cultural economy and foster development of the emergent field of creative and media industries studies, new to Hong Kong and the region. Aside from required and elective courses, students can complete a research dissertation as a capstone experience, they will engage in independent research and interrogate relevant scholarly perspectives on the object of their study.

The Master of Buddhist Studies degree (MBS) programme is a coursework programme offered by the Centre of Buddhist Studies (CBS) of The University of Hong Kong. The degree is awarded through the Faculty of Arts. English is the medium of instruction except for a selected few classes.

The Master of Social Sciences in Criminology [MSocSc(Crim)] is the first and long-established postgraduate criminology programme in Hong Kong. The Master of Arts in Transport Policy and Planning (MATPP) program is jointly offered by the Department of Urban Planning and Design, the Department of Geography and the Department of Civil Engineering. The MATPP program aims to provide training for graduates aspiring to pursue careers in the transport field and provide the expanding transport sector in Hong Kong with a steady supply of well-trained professionals at the executive level.

This programme aims to nurture a new generation of professionals for the rapidly developing hotel sector in Hong Kong as well as in the region. In order to equip students with strong theory and practical knowledge and skills in hotel operations management, a broad range of hotel topics including food & beverage management, front office and housekeeping management, hotel revenue management, and staff development and training will be covered in the programme.

The Master of Science in Data Analytics and Business Economics is thoughtfully designed to serve the increasing demand for talents in the area of data analytics and business economics in Hong Kong and other parts of the world.
