The chemistry of forensic science is concerned with key concepts including entomology, tissue decay, crime scene investigation, fingerprint analysis, detection of drugs and alcohol, fire investigations, DNA and blood pattern analysis as well as the development of secure biometric systems.

The programme supplies a student with a systemic study of the structure, processing, storage, communication and access to information in a computer system. It includes designing and analyzing relevant algorithms and/or application software.

This programme provides the skills to solve problems in order to answer questions in mathematics, as well as outside mathematics (such as science, technology etc).

The programme (by coursework and dissertation) is for the student who has a deep interest in and considerable ability in the application of biological sciences in today’s environment.
