The chair of Eastern languages and literature was established in 2003. Currently, it accepts bachelor students in the direction of two specialities Translation (Arabic-Azerbaijan languages) and translation (Persian-Azerbaijan languages).

The master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy is focused on negotiation and management skills in international organisations, the history of diplomacy, migration, regional integration, ethical issues in international relations, and the methodology of the social sciences as applied to international relations. Students explore relationships between countries in great detail, the evolving roles of states, governmental and non-governmental organisations, academic and public policy, economics, international law and cultural studies.

The purpose of the Ecology programme is to train high-level specialists in the field of ecology. As per curriculum requirements students develop a new technosphere, evaluate technical innovations at the socio-ecological level, determine their compliance with the laws of the biosphere, study the universe, use theoretical and experimental methods in physics, fundamental constants in natural sciences, and the principles of symmetry and energy conservation. They will learn methods for chemical determination of substances. Students will be able to simultaneously implement project documents and schedules, apply rules of design to technical schemes and drawings, using modern programmes, classify wastes from petrochemical production, have detailed knowledge of the creation of closed water supply systems, environmental protection, neutralisation of gas emissions, efficient use of resources principles, ecological expertise, etc.

Tourism and Hotel Management is a modern programme that introduces students to managerial analysis. Students acquire technical and theoretical knowledge, including basic careers skills in tourism. Marketing, economics and HR management are also covered as they are essential to hotel management. Students gain in-depth understanding of the tourism sector underpinned by principles of sustainability. They develop core business skills in leadership, management, marketing and strategic management, and enhance these skills with an understanding of how to manage employment relations in a culturally diverse context.
