ICT field in the Nordic countries is blooming. In Latvia for past years the programmer is the most demanded profession and demand is greater than supply. This study programme offers to acquire programming engineering skill during studies and 26 week internship in local and international ICT companies focused on ICT solution development for other disciplines’ sustainable development.

The aim of the study program is to prepare highly qualified computer science specialists with fundamental knowledge of the computer sciences, higher mathematics, and fundamentals of engineering, that constantly allows to adapt the professional activity with the inconsistent conditions of the labor market and to prepare students for the further higher-level professional programs and master degree studies, scientific activity and further self-education.

The dual Award programme in Computer Science has been developed through careful and detailed collaboration between the University of Lincoln UK and the University of Latvia, drawing on the experience of both institutions. The programme is considered to provide industry-required knowledge in order to respond to the needs of the labour market and the interests of students.

The program is designed according to the recommendations of the ACM/IEEE Computing Curricula. It is awarded the Euro-Inf Quality Label by the European Quality Assurance Network for Informatics Education. After graduation, students can continue their studies at the master's level.

Jointly designed with our strategic UK partner University of West of England, the Double Degree in MSc IT Project Management programme provides you with a unique opportunity to become an expert in the fields of IT project management, information systems, business intelligence, and IT infrastructure management. The programme structure and all courses have been validated by the UWE Special University Validation Panel. The content of the programme is fully in line with international standards and industry demanded skills and knowledge, this becomes possible as we have carefully adopted the best and most demanded courses in the field from the UWE Bristol.

This Double Degree program is designed in cooperation with the University of the West of England (UWE). After four years of study, students obtain diplomas from both universities, as well as a fantastic learning experience. According to British quality standards, there is a lot of group work and individual projects during studies. The study results will be evaluated not only by TSI lecturers but also by UWE representatives.
