The two‑year (120 ECTS) Master’s programme in Computer Science at Aalto University is a selective, research‑ and industry‑oriented MSc (Tech) that prepares students for doctoral studies and advanced industry positions. Taught in English, the programme combines strong mathematical and algorithmic foundations with hands‑on training (including access to resources such as the LUMI supercomputer) and offers five main specialisation tracks: Algorithms, Logic and Computation; Big Data and Large‑Scale Computing; Software Systems and Technologies; Web Technologies, Applications and Science; and Secure Systems.

The Computer Engineering major combines information technology and electrical engineering to train engineers who design and implement hardware–software systems (low-level programming, microelectronics, computer architecture, embedded systems and hardware acceleration). The programme is delivered as a 3+2 years full-time pathway (3-year BSc followed by a 2-year MSc; 5 years total).

The Bachelor’s Programme in Computational Science and Artificial Intelligence blends studies in mathematics and computer science, providing students with the essential skills to become future computational experts.

Quantum Technology trains students at the intersection of quantum physics, mathematics, computer science and electrical engineering. Delivered as the Quantum Technology major of the Aalto Bachelor’s Programme in Science and Technology, the programme is taught in English and offers a 3‑year bachelor path with the option to continue to a 2‑year master’s (3+2 years full‑time). Students gain a strong theoretical foundation and hands‑on laboratory and programming skills needed for quantum computation, communication, sensing and device fabrication.

The major subjects available are Signal Processing and Machine Learning; Software Development; Power Engineering; Communications Engineering; Electronics and Embedded Systems.

The Human-Computer Interaction and Design with Extended Reality (HCID/XR) programme is a 2-year, full-time interdisciplinary MSc (Technology) offered as part of the ICT Innovation (EIT Digital Master School) double-degree track. The course emphasizes user-centred design, combining human, technological and business aspects to create usable desktop, mobile and immersive XR systems.

Master's Programme in Information and Service Management (ISM) at Aalto University School of Business trains future leaders at the intersection of business and technology. The programme (120 ECTS) offers three specialisations — Business Analytics, Information Systems and Supply Chain Management — and focuses on data‑driven decision making, digital business models and service management. Graduates gain quantitative analysis, multidisciplinary leadership and research skills that prepare them for analytics, consulting and digital management roles.

Bachelor's Programme in Technology and Engineering Science responds to the rapidly growing need for sustainable hybrid technology solutions in modern industry. Computational Engineering trains students to build, validate and apply mathematical and computational models to solve real-world engineering problems. The programme is offered as a combined degree: a 180 ECTS Bachelor of Science (Technology) followed by a 120 ECTS Master of Science (Technology). Typical duration: 3 years (BSc) + 2 years (MSc) — overall 5 years full-time. Students study applied mathematics, classical engineering (mechanics, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics), numerical methods (e.g. finite element method), programming and machine learning, and apply these skills in team projects and a bachelor’s thesis.

A multidisciplinary major combining electrical engineering and design, Digital Systems and Design trains students to design, build and analyse digital systems. The programme emphasizes hands-on projects, networking, embedded systems, control and automation, photonics, and algorithmic learning. Taught in English, it leads to a 3-year BSc (180 ECTS) plus a 2-year MSc (120 ECTS) option.

The Master's Programme in Materials Science and Technology provides you with solid knowledge about materials from the viewpoint of present-day research and practice.
