7 Cloud, Networking and Systems Degree Programs in Germany

The Master of Science in Computer Science at IU International University of Applied Sciences is a 24-month, English-taught, on-campus programme in Cologne, Germany. The curriculum covers algorithms, software engineering, cybersecurity, data science, and big data technologies. No prior German is required. Graduates hold a German state-accredited degree and can choose to specialise in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or Business Analytics. An 18-month post-study work visa is available after graduation.

In the bachelor programme‚ Internet of Things – Design of connected systems’ students get enabled to find user-centered areas of functional and technical technologies in order to develop networking hard- and software. In study projects, students learn about and experiment with networking, heterogeneous systems and products, with monitoring and decision processes.

More and more devices and systems can now be reached through the Internet and other networks, exposing them to direct attacks. This creates challenges for many companies to appropriately secure their systems and protect themselves against possible hacker attacks. Despite the protection mechanisms currently available (e.g. non-executable storage regions, ran-domization of addresses or stack cookies inserted by the compiler), weaknesses in applications are still being successfully exploited. 

Our BSc (Hons) Computing covers in-demand skills in areas such as data analysis, cloud computing, cybersecurity, object-oriented programming (Java), and website coding and authoring (HTML, CSS). The course is unique in that it offers you two career pathways to choose from. Students who want to focus on technical opportunities can gain an in-depth understanding of subjects in this area.
