Graduates from the Master’s program in “Civil Engineering” may pursue careers in design, construction, maintenance, management, or research and development. For example, in urban or developing population areas and industrial centers, civil and environmental engineers serve the public as planners, designers, and supervisors of transportation systems, water resources projects, pollution control facilities, and private and public utility enterprises.

The aim of the doctoral programs of the CEE Department is to promote scholarly research leading to discovery, learning and innovation according to international standards of excellence, in the broader discipline of CEE, as well as in related multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary fields.

Civil Engineering is the study, application, and practice of using science and engineering technologies to deal with the design, planning, construction, and maintenance of sustainable infrastructures. The Civil engineering field started its work in 2017 as one of the primary fields in the Faculty of Engineering at Final International University. With up to date facilities and laboratories this faculty will equip the students with practical knowledge of civil engineering.

The science of civil engineering covers a wide range of people's daily needs and its achievements are visible in every modern built environment. The construction of high-quality earthquake-proof buildings, bridges, dams, ports and modern road networks and ensuring the supply of drinking water are some of these achievements. In addition to improving people's quality of life, the modern understanding of civil engineering also includes the concept of sustainability, which is intertwined with a range of environmental issues.

In the rapidly changing conditions of the natural and structured environment, the role of the Civil Engineer in society is constantly being upgraded, as the challenges become more and more complex. The depletion of natural resources, climate change, pollution and the effects on structures due to their aging, are challenges that must be addressed through a sustainability framework that will propose solutions. These solutions should not only br techno-economically optimal, but also environmentally friendly. The Master in Civil Engineering and Sustainable Planning aims at the high level of training of students in the fields of Civil Engineering with emphasis on sustainable planning and management of the natural and structured environment.

The 'Civil & Environmental Engineering' Program covers all theoretical and practical knowledge which is necessary for the analysis, design, construction, and management of technical projects, systems, and critical infrastructure. These activities are directly linked to the urban, regional, agricultural, transportation, and energy development of modern societies.

The aim of this faculty is to train architects and engineers who are able to meet the requirements of the era, who take into account human, nature and structured environmental balances, who produce creative and scientific solutions to the problems of the world we live in taking into account universal values, and who have leadership skills, self-confidence, and entrepreneurial professional responsibilities and who are innovative.
