As a graduate of our three-year program (one additional year after graduating from our Civil Engineering Technician program), you will gain knowledge in the design, construction and operation of water, storm and sanitary systems, roads, railways, bridges and buildings. At Confederation College, our small class sizes mean you will get great practical hands-on experience with current technology used in the industry today, including Computer-Aided-Drafting (CAD), Building Information Modelling (BIM), Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Surveying.

After a solid general education leading to mastering basic physical and mathematical concepts, as well as fundamental knowledge in the fields of materials, experimental methods, and computer science, the program offers more advanced training in the fields of structures, geotechnics, transport, environment, water resources, and construction. Five orientations, of 12 credits, are offered in the penultimate and final year: Buildings and structures, Environmental engineering, Geotechnics, Applied hydraulics, and Transport, plus a personalized orientation and thematic orientations.
