The Master’s degree in Synthetic and Industrial Chemistry is an inter-university Master’s program run by the University of Valladolid, the Public University of Navarre, and the University of the Basque Country (coordinating university). It aims to train specialists in Chemical Synthesis for both the professional/business and the research/academic worlds, enabling them to become experts in synthetic methodology, the preparation of raw materials and/or fine chemicals, structural determination and separation and purification techniques. The Master's Degree in Theoretical Chemistry and Computational Modelling is a European Master verified by the Ministry of Education in Spain and which has received the distinction of Euro-label from the ECTNA (European Chemistry Thematic Network Association) and Erasmus Mundus from the European Union. A consortium of 46 European Universities participates in its organization, 14 of them from Spain. Participant universities come from the following countries: Belgium, Spain, France, Holland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, and Sweden. One of the intrinsic characteristics of the Master is to promote collaboration between the participating research groups and in particular, the mobility of students. The Master provides applicants high quality training in the field of Computational Chemistry, highly demanded and with high impact. Theoretical simulations are nowadays needed in all branches of Chemistry and Molecular Physics. Their range of applications include the design of new drugs in the Pharmaceutical Industry, new materials and nanodevices in Applied Physics or the prediction of the properties and reactivity of the new chemical compounds needed in the Chemical Industry. This master provides students with the fundamentals of Quantum Chemistry, which is at the core of most accurate techniques in Theoretical Chemistry, but also provides with the necessary skills to use and modify the most advanced software codes used to perform simulations of real systems. Students will learn to simulate complex systems by combining techniques based on Quantum Mechanics with classical Molecular Dynamics techniques.

The Degree in Engineering in Industrial Chemistry provides training based on the theoretical bases and the technologies of this field. Every person graduated in Industrial Chemistry Engineering can carry out tasks of design, maintenance and operation of chemical process equipment, experiment with organic and inorganic substances, heat transmission or mass transfer, fluid flow and chemical reaction engineering. This degree also studies the use of raw materials, the chemistry of natural products, analyzes manufacturing processes, environmental contamination, and industrial safety and hygiene.

It aims to train professionals in the chemical industry sector. In this sector, which in Spain represents the fourth largest industrial sector (approx. 10%), professionals carry out research, development, design, engineering and process control tasks in various fields (timber companies, petrochemicals, steel, food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic industry etc.).

This Master is a versatile qualification structured on the basis of a research orientation and a professional one. The first is intended to be a training tool for the subsequent completion of a doctoral thesis in the field of Chemistry. The master's degree in Analytical Chemistry provides specialized training through which students will learn to tackle specific analytical problems in a range of specific fields (the environment, pharmacy, nutrition, clinical settings, biomedicine, etc.), placing special emphasis on experimental work complemented by advanced theoretical training.

The Master's Degree in Advanced Techniques in Chemistry, Chemical Analysis and Control of Chemical Quality aims to provide advanced training and initiation to research in Chemistry. It is intended for graduates to join the work market with full guarantee or continue their doctoral training in Chemistry, while at the same time endows them with the necessary skills to facilitate their incorporation into the R D I, Analysis or Quality Control departments, both in public and private companies related to Chemistry. The degree broadens the knowledge received during the degree, adding a specialization in the fields of Chemical Analysis and Quality Control (Qualimetry) from a non-regulatory perspective, but focused on its technical aspects, also including instrumental or computational methods and tools used by the rest of the chemical knowledge areas, which guarantees an unbiased view of the topics studied.

The master's degree in Theoretical Chemistry and Computational Modeling is a two-year program, 120 ECTS, which is carried out in person and online among the 14 participating universities. The online part is carried out through the Adobe Connect platform, while the face-to-face part is developed in a series of courses, of fixed duration, organized by the participating universities.
