6 Physician Assisting Certificate Programs

As a Physician Practice Manager you may work in large healthcare practices such as hospitals or multi-specialty clinics. The certificate also provides entry to leadership roles and a path to a Bachelor of Science in either Health Care Administration or Health Information Management.

The Patient Care Assistant Certificate prepares students to work in hospitals, doctors’ offices, medical clinics, skilled nursing facilities, as well as other short-term and long-term care facilities under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.

The Occupational Therapy Assistant Program's mission at the Community College of Rhode Island is to prepare students for successful completion of the NBCOT certification examination, obtain state licensure, and gain employment as Occupational Therapist Assistants in various health care settings, working with diverse patient populations.

This qualification is aimed at learners aged 16 or above who practice in a relevant position, either through employment or work placement. This qualification is based on the National Occupational Standards for Health and contains both mandatory and optional units.

The Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) program at Saint Joseph’s College offers students the opportunity to learn the knowledge and skills to be a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant and participate in hands-on and relevant learning.
