15 Mathematics and Statistics Certificate Programs

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics offers undergraduate students Bachelor of Science programs with concentrations in Applied Mathematics, Pure Mathematics, Computation Mathematics, Mathematics Education, and Statistics.

This is one of several subject combinations available in our Certificate of Higher Education in Computing & IT and a second subject (T13) – you’ll divide your time equally between the two subjects. You will learn basic ideas and tools of mathematics that underpin all kinds of mathematical reasoning. You will also explore the profound technological, economic, political and ethical change driven by digital technologies.

Broadening your skill-set to stretch the boundaries of your capabilities shows fortitude and commitment to growth. Like many other professions focused on job preservation, educators are being urged to expand their talents to incorporate additional subject matter competencies into their credentials. Completing this program will enable you to add a Supplementary Authorization in Introductory Mathematics to your existing credential, moving you on your way to a more comprehensive career in teaching and raising your "desirability" factor.
