10 Manufacturing Certificate Programs

Machining tools and techniques are evolving as the manufacturing industry grows and adapts to new technology. This two-semester Ontario College Graduate Certificate prepares mechanical engineers and machinists to respond to the modern manufacturing industry.

The Manufacturing Technician program is the entry point for Advanced Manufacturing, Robotics, and Mechatronics studies as it prepares students to earn the Manufacturing Technology Level 1 (MT1) credential. The MT1 documents that an individual is prepared for above entry-level industrial technology positions with fundamental knowledge and skills in general manufacturing concepts and technologies. The nationally recognized MT1 certification is embedded into this 3-course series and is issued by the Manufacturing Skills Institute as well as endorsed by the National Association of Manufacturers.

This Certificate III in Manufacturing Technology is not a trade qualification. It is a para-professional engineering course, leading to a technical position within engineering companies. This qualification has seven specialist streams available including CAD Drafting, Manufacturing Operations, Technical Officer and Structural Steel Detailing.

Biomedical Device Manufacturing Certificate provides skills for the manufacturing of medical devices, including basic quality control, government regulations, and applied skills such as machining and working in an ultra-clean environment.

The Boat Manufacturing Service Technology program prepares students for employment in the manufacture and service of boats. Students learn the basics of boat design and implement those designs in various components and/or complete boats or yachts.
