Criminal Law this course offers an introduction to the history and philosophy of the administration of justice system as it has evolved over time. The course studies in-depth the American system of criminal justice and its various subsystems.

Rutgers Law School is pleased to offer students the opportunity to participate in a new Certificate Program in Criminal Law and Procedure.

Florida Coastal School of Law offers students the opportunity to earn a J.D. degree with an accompanying certificate in Criminal Practice Advocacy.

This course of study is designed to prepare students for entry level positions in municipal and county law enforcement agencies (i.e. police or sheriff departments), and/or to transfer to Bachelor’s degree programs in Criminal Justice or related fields to prepare for federal or state-level law enforcement positions (i.e., FBI, DEA, INS, etc.)

Students will gain knowledge in the Criminal Justice field and be exposed to the workings of the criminal justice systems, introduced to law enforcement, its history and development in the U.S., the procedures and techniques relating to criminal evidence.

This course of study is designed to prepare students for a career in law enforcement-related field (i.e., police officer, deputy sheriff, probation officer) and/or to transfer to Bachelor’s degree programs in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or related fields.

This 12 credit certificate in crime and community mapping develops data mapping and analytic skills which are highly marketable in the criminal justice and social service professions. You will not only learn the principles of criminal justice and the factors associated with criminal behavior, but will also collect geographical data and evaluate it from the perspective of police and criminal justice agencies.Even better – you will work with real police department data and provide results that assist local law enforcement agencies.
