The Aboriginal Community Economic Development program provides a first year certificate with an option of taking a second year diploma. As NVIT's ACED program fulfills the 16 competencies of the Council for the Advancement of Native Development Officers' (CANDO) technician status, upon completion of the 2nd year, students have the option to apply for technician status with CANDO.

The Undergraduate Certificate in Community Leadership provides students with the skills to help them participate effectively in the political process on behalf of communities. It applies to individuals who work in small-scale dance, theatre and events environments within the creative industries. Individuals at this level may provide support to others involved in production with limited responsibility overseeing other personnel.

This qualification has been designed for potential and current international students. They will be involved in classroom-based training in a full time capacity to gain the qualification.
