The semester program consists of a required design studio course and one, or more, approved architectural electives, Italian language (all levels available), and free electives from the Institute’s offerings (15-16 credits total). This program is open to architecture students who have completed at least two years of study in the discipline. Admission is selective.

Computer Network, Architecture, and Management is a two (2) year certificate program that prepares students to become computer network administrators, network architects, or network technology technicians. The computer network administrator (CNA) works with large companies that have their own IT department, or as an independent consultant working with small-to-medium-sized companies. Within a small business, one individual, most of the time, is the sole person responsible for the operation of a computer network. However, in larger companies (and as the company grows), network administrators work in departments and the role of each CNA becomes specialized. As a result, there are usually more complex configurations and larger networks that must be managed.

The population of the world now exceeds eight billion, half of which live in cities. These numbers will only increase as the century progresses, and the need to understand the issues and challenges in maintaining health, safety, and quality of life in the built environment has never been greater. A collaboration of architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects, and urban planners will be needed to apply art and science to address these challenges, using lessons from history to understand contemporary problems.

The fields of architecture and interior design are extremely interrelated. Both require practitioners to sustain specific skill sets relative to computer-aided drafting, BIM and graphics for the purpose of communicating design ideas to the public. In an age of progressive technology, it is difficult for design professionals to stay abreast of the modern techniques and software programs which are needed to compete in a market flooded with fresh talent.

Drafters work behind the scenes to create technical drawings and plans based on sketches, specifications or notes made by architects, engineers, surveyors, or other industry professionals. They use advanced computer-aided drafting and design (CADD) software to bring designs to life.
